This week’s featured report comes from the Commonwealth Foundation. The report, titled “Transforming Labor: A Comprehensive, Nationawide Comparison and Grading of Public Sector Labor Laws,” analyzes the state laws and regulations to determine a ranking for all 50 states. Jesse helps explain why Right-to-Work laws are so important and which states we can expect to enact these laws next.
Trump on Budget & Tax Policy
To help get a better feel for what we can expect from the coming Trump administration, Donny and Jesse take a look at a report from the Tax Foundation titled “Details and Analysis of the Donald Trump Tax Reform Plan.” The report lays out what Trump has proposed and how the reforms would affect the economy.
Next Jesse and Donny discuss an article from the Mercatus Center titled “The Trouble with Trump’s Infrastructure Plan.” Included in Trump’s 100-day plan is a $1 trillion infrastructure investment plan. Jesse explains why this plan is cause for concern for any small-government advocates.
In the last portion of the podcast, Donny asks Jesse what a Trump administration would mean for entitlement reform, debt and deficits, and other budget and tax subjects.
